Already have 5 dogs & your spouse has threatened to leave if you get more ? Work long hours all week & don't feel like you have time to care for a dog except on weekends ? Worked for a vet once or just have some good "mothering" skills ? We have dogs from time to time that would benefit from fostering. Using this term loosely, it could apply to anything from bottle-raising puppies who lost their mother to taking a dog home for months to let it live with you til it's adopted (we'll keep it on the website as adoptable). We have a long-time, very experienced volunteer who takes dogs home for just a DAY of walking on a leash, swimming, playing, treats, etc. to improve their social skills & show them people are their best friends, not just walking pooper-scoopers! This is a "top-level" volunteer position when you have shown a compassion for & ability to work with dogs who may panic at something as simple as walking on grass or hearing a horn honk.
